...and a brief explanation of what's what.
CFM's Executive Committee (ExCom)
The ExCom consists of 6 CFM members,
elected by popular vote by the membership of CFM, to oversee the
administrative needs of the group as a whole. The ExCom members serve a
one-year term, starting January 1st and running through December 31st.
The members are elected to the ExCom, not to the positions -
once seated, the first order of business a new
ExCom must address is which member fills which position. There is a
term limit of three years for every ExCom member, and after a year's
absence, a candidate is permitted to run again. Note that
ExCom members may also hold appointed positions as well; there are no
term limits as such, each appointed position is renewed upon the
seating of a new
ExCom.

The acronym stands for Service, Information,
Guidance and
Hospitality for Travelers. This officer handles requests
from out-of-state/foreign Mensans (or their
SIGHT Coordinators) involving local lodging, restaurants and/or general
local
information. In some cases, local members have offered to put traveling
Mensans
up in their homes for a night or two, for little or no charge, just to
be
friendly. If you'd be interested in learning about being a SIGHT host,
contact
the chair.
