The acronym stands for Service, Information, Guidance and Hospitality for Travelers. Perhaps you're going to be traveling on business to Phoenix and would be interested in having dinner with local Mensans, or you're vacationing in Ireland and are interested in seeing some local scenery accompanied by a local Mensan. On the other hand, you live here in Central Florida and are interested in showing an out-of-area Mensan what real Florida hospitality is all about. If any of these examples sound like something you'll be doing, then SIGHT may be just the program you're looking for!
If you're traveling and want to hook up with Mensans at your destination, you can go to https://secure.us.mensa.org/members/only/sight.php to fill out the necessary forms. This link will take you to Mensa's "Members Only" section, so be sure to have your ID# and password ready.
CFM's SIGHT Coordinator, Tom Bush, invites you to consider being a SIGHT host for us. We're always welcoming new, friendly faces, as Central Florida is the most popular tourist destination in the United States, if not the world. Your involvement can be as expansive or as limited as you want it to be; for example, you can open your home to a fellow M for a few nights, or you can volunteer to drive a Mensa family from Orlando Airport to the attractions area. You can contact Tom at 386-761-3225 and he will be glad to answer any questions you may have about the S.I.G.H.T. program.
